Steve Gedeon receives teaching excellence award

Ryerson University selected Welding Engineering alum Steve Gedeon (far left in photo) as the recipient of its 2010 President’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Steve earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and welding engineering from Ohio State and also holds a PhD in materials science and engineering from MIT and an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Located in Toronto, Ryerson offers nearly 100 graduate and undergraduate programs, with a total enrollment of nearly 28,000, including close to 2,000 graduate students. Steve is a professor at Ryerson's School of Management, faculty advisor of SIFE Ryerson (Students in Free Enterprise) and the Director of Ryerson's Entrepreneur Institute. He also is a past winner of Ryerson University’s Provost's Experiential Teaching Award.
