Update: Presentation at IMAT 2022 for 2021 Fellows of ASM International

The 2021 ASM Fellows were officially celebrated at 2022 IMAT after a global pandemic forced the event to be canceled for several years.

The Board of Trustees of ASM International has elected Professor Peter M. Anderson a Fellow of the Society "for outstanding contributions in the development of dislocation theory in engineered shape memory alloys, multilayers, and nano crystalline metals and as an educator and mentor, who promotes diversity within the University engineering undergraduate and graduate programs and department".1
Peter Anderson, Ph.D., has been a materials science and engineering professor with The Ohio State University for 33 years and is currently on special assignment with the National Science Foundation.
ASM International will recognize the 2021 Class of Fellows via an awards video during IMAT'21. Dr. Anderson will formally accept his ASM award at IMAT'22 in September 2022.
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering congratulates Peter Anderson on this significant award and recognizes him for outstanding contributions to the advancement of materials science and engineering, novel research and higher education.
