Hamish Fraser selected to receive TMS Institute of Metals/Robert Franklin Mehl Award

Dr. Hamish Fraser has been selected by the TMS Honors and Professional Recognition Committee and the TMS Board of Directors to receive the 2024 Institute of Metals Lecture and Robert Franklin Mehl Award

Fraser will deliver a lecture at the 2024 Annual Meeting as part of his outstanding scientific leadership in the areas of materials science and the application of metals.

The Institute of Metals created the lecture award in 1921. It was amended in 1972 to include Robert Franklin Mehl's name. Mehl was a renowned professor of metallurgy at Carnegie Mellon University.
