Grassman-Led Team Achieves Record III-V/Si Tandem Cell Efficiency

Posted:

The Grassman Group, in collaboration with the Ringel Group at OSU, the Bremner Group at UNSW, and SolAero Technologies Corp., has achieved a new world record efficiency for dual-junction monolithic III-V/Si solar cells with their GaAsP/Si technology, as measured and verified by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The champion cell exhibited an efficiency of 23.4%. But sit tight, because there's much yet to come!

The new record is listed in the latest Progress in Photovoltaics "Solar Cell Efficiency Tables (v.56)," here
