SIMCenter Offering Professional Development Program Entirely Online

The Ohio State University’s Simulation Innovation and Modeling Center (SIMCenter) is now offering fully online professional development opportunities. Intended to provide integrated workforce development for working engineers, the program content and development is correlated to industry needs and interests. The Certification in Practice of Finite Element Principles is a 100% online, non-credit, four-course certification program.

Who?

The program is designed for engineers and other practitioners who wish to learn more and increase their skills in Finite Element Principles.

Duration?

The series of four noncredit courses can be completed within two semesters. Each course is eligible for 4 CEUs and all courses need to be completed to earn the certification.

Cost?

Course fees are $1,000 per course, so the entire certificate program can be completed for $4,000. The first course Finite Element Principles in Linear Static Analysis starts August 20th (Registration closes August 18th.)

SIMCenter at Ohio State

A $5 million gift from Honda R&D Americas, Inc. to The Ohio State University launched a center for virtual simulation and modeling of product performance and manufacturing processes in the College of Engineering.

The Simulation Innovation and Modeling Center, or SIMCenter, researches and applies computer aided engineering techniques to the design and manufacturing of advanced product and production concepts.
