Congratulations to Dr. Michael Mills for being awarded the 2019 Oleg D. Sherby award by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society. The sole recipient of this award, Mills was recognized for his work surrounding the behavior of materials at high temperatures.
Citation:
For understanding creep behavior in complex metallic alloys using advanced characterization methods to gain new insights into deformation mechanisms and develop new models of deformation.
Mills met the following criteria in his research

- His work has had or will have a major impact on the understanding of the behavior of materials at high temperature.
