Mark DeBruin has worked for over 25 years in the metal casting industry. . He has 4 published papers including "Weight reduction using massive carbide free thin walled ductile iron produced via lost foam casting". He has started four foundries including his own Lost Foam foundry. He has a Six Sigma Black Belt, consult for metallurgical lab analysis, and has taught auditing and statistical process control (SPC).

Mark has extensive experiences that include thermal processing, P&L responsibility, and machining of metals. Mark has held a variety of positions including Technical Director, Operations Manager, Plant Manager and General Manager within the steel and iron foundry industry and induction furnace industry. He has also worked in steel mills, tube making, heat treating, and machine shops. Mark is focused on continuous improvement and expertise in TS-16949 and ISO 9000 quality management systems. Functional experience includes operations, quality, accounting, engineering, environmental and safety. He is currently the Plant Manager at Delta H. Technologies in Westerville, Ohio.

Mark DeBruin is the Chief Operations and Technical Officer of Skuld LLC. He has set up many foundries including a greenfield site in Vietnam and as co-founder of Aesir Metals. He has developed a number of innovative technologies which Skuld LLC is working to commercialize. The $200K SBIR award and the foundry at The Ohio State University has helped the company develop technology that makes the surface of metal smoother and that confirms the properties of a material. 

Education

He has a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Integrated Mathematics from Kent State University.
