Intern Week 2021

Virtual Intern Week (January 25 – February 1, 2021) primarily targets first and second year students in their pursuit of an internship or co-op.  It is strategically placed the week before the SWE fair (February 3, 2021) and is packed with virtual events to help students feel confident and comfortable navigating the fair and the spring job search. 

2021 Schedule of Events

Participants 

• ALL engineering students are welcome to participate, as the programs cover a wide variety of topics and are not solely related to internships and co-ops. 

Open Format 

• Events are virtual and conveniently spread out during the day throughout the week.  Based on your class schedule and interest, attend as many events as you can. 

• To attend these events, please register in Handshake and the zoom link provided. 

What to Expect 

• Employer of the Day: Network with our sponsors! Throughout the week they will be holding one-on-one prescheduled resume reviews, mock interviews, elevator pitch practice sessions.  You MUST be registered with ECS to sign up for one-on-one slots.  

• Intern Networking Night: Speak with current Ohio State engineering students in this casual setting to learn more about their past experiences and intern/co-op opportunities at the companies for which they worked. 

• Workshops: Learn from our sponsors and ECS staff how to perfect your resume, navigate the career fair, interview successfully, and enhance/showcase important skills via interactive Q&A sessions. 

• Prizes!: At each workshop and Intern Networking Night, local restaurant e-gift cards will be raffled off. 

2021 Intern Networking Night 

Virtual Intern Networking Night is the Signature Event for ECS’ Intern Week. Join current or former interns representing a variety of employers as they share their experiences and tips for securing an internship/ co-op. This is a casual opportunity to learn more about internship projects and programs from fellow Buckeyes. Bring your questions and learn from interns about how to stand out from the competition.

Time: 6:00-8:00pm 

6:00-6:45pm: Intern Success Panel featuring Sponsor companies 
6:45-8:00pm: Open, small group networking with student representatives from all participating companies
