Hemant Betrabet

Hemant Betrabet's achievements span the fields of R&D, new product development, quality, engineering, and technology strategy management in Consumer Products (FMCG), Regulated Products, Consumer Electronics, and Display Technologies. He has directed global teams in North and South America, Europe, and Asia and is credited with revitalizing existing organizations and building new product development centers.

Hemant delivered the Distinguished Alumnus Lecture in 2016, during which he chronicled his journey to Ohio State from India and shared the best and worst advice he had received throughout his professional career. 

The Distinguished Alumnus Lecture was established in 1984 to honor a graduate of the department who has made significant contributions to the field of materials science and engineering.
