Engineering Career Services' 2022 Virtual Career Fair for Graduate Students and Postdocs

Though the event will be held on the "Career Fair" module of Handshake, the Virtual Graduate Student Industry Recruitment Event is an informal way to interact with employers who hire advanced degree students. Some employers will have internships, entry-level positions available now, while other companies will be promoting future opportunities not yet available.

Format

The Graduate Student Networking Event will be held VIRTUALLY using the Handshake career fair platform. A virtual format will enhance the experience, allowing you to:

  • During the 30-minute group information sessions, you will be able to explore company culture and career opportunities.
  • Alternatively, the 1-on-1 10-minute sessions with industry representatives will allow you to ask questions and learn about career opportunities at the company specifically for you. NOTE: This event is just for graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.) and postdocs!

Registration information

You will need to register for this "career fair" on Handshake to sign up for the two types of sessions. To join us, click the blue "Register" button (don't see one, then make sure you are logged into Handshake account).

You have to register AND sign up for 1:1 and Group Sessions in order to participate in the event. If you don't see any sessions available, check back! Employers are adding additional sessions daily!

  • To sign up for Group or 1:1 sessions, you may be prompted to update your profile privacy setting. It is recommended that you use Community to make the most of your Handshake experience, as this will allow you to participate in all sessions and engage with other students/alumni.
  • For more information on profile privacy, please see Profile Privacy Options in Handshake.
