Seung Min Jane Han is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University. She joined the research group of Prof. Bill Nix in 2001 after completing her B.S. degree in Materials Engineering at Brown University. She joined the NANOMESO effort in September 2005 and received her Ph.D. in 2006. Her work investigated the compression testing of submicron sized pillars made from Al-Al3Sc multilayer thin films with different bilayer periods, as well as compression testing of Al bicrystal pillars that contain a grain boundary parallel to the loading axis.
