John Carpenter joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Ohio State University (US) in September 2005. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2005 from Virginia Polytechnic and State University. John joined the NANOMESO effort in October 2005 and will be undertaking synthesis, characterization, and mechanical testing in collaboration with the Stanford University group and the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
