Liu Cao joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Ohio State University (US) in September 2005. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2002 and a Masters of Engineering in Materials Physics and Chemistry, both from Nanjing University, China. Liu joined the NANOMESO effort in October 2005 and will be studying energetics of grain boundaries, including gamma surfaces associated with sliding of grain boundaries.
